To the Nevis School Community,
On behalf of our school board and staff, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the recent referendum vote. While the outcome was not what we had hoped for, we respect the decision made by our community and thank each of you who took the time to make your voice heard.
We are proud to live and work in a district where people care deeply about their schools. Your engagement—whether through voting, asking questions, or sharing your perspectives—reflects the passion and dedication that make Nevis such a special place.
Although the referendum did not pass, our work does not stop here. The school board and I are already regrouping, reviewing what we’ve learned, and considering next steps. Together, we will chart a path forward that reflects both the needs of our students and the values of our community.
We’ve always been stronger when we work together. And while the vote is behind us, our shared commitment to excellence in education continues to lead the way.
With appreciation and optimism,
Dr. Gregg Parks
Superintendent, Nevis Public School
